Mr Cope was a breath of fresh air. He listened, examined me without assuming my pain was purely the arthritis in my hips as a previous consultant had. An MRI identified inflamed and torn tendons. When cortisone failed to alleviate the pain from the torn tendon Mr Cope recommended surgery At every juncture Mr Cope explained what would happen. He also came to see me after the operation before he went off duty. 2 weeks post op the pain has changed to post op pain and the underlying pain has gone leaving me hopeful for a full recovery.

Mr Cope was very polite and dealt with me in an efficient manner. He listened to my concerns and sent me for xrays which alleviated my worries. Thank you again Mr Cope

I have my life back again. I was suffering with chronic arthritis in my knee although I am not fifty yet! I am now back to full strength and enjoying my life again.

I was admitted very quickly and with all due care However when something went wrong I no longer felt like a well treated patient but felt like I was an annoyance and sent for " repair " to someone else.

Response from Mr Marcus Cope

I am sorry you felt like you were an annoyance this is never the case and if you felt like this then I apologise. If you have a complication and I am unable to deal with it then you are sent to the appropriate health care professional as quickly as possible so that it can be sorted out. Surgery is never guaranteed and complications can and do occur, that sometimes require further remediation. It is my practice to attempt to sort this out as quickly and efficiently as possible so that you can see the right professional for the issue that you have.
